where it began
Creativity has always been ingrained in me, and fashion and personal style have had a magnetic pull for as long as I can remember. Mi Boutique began with a simple frustration: ordinary elastic hair ties would pull, snag and break my delicate hair. Because I already loved sewing, I had plenty of fabric to experiment with, and scrunchies became the natural starting point. I was drawn to the volume, texture and movement of the fabric, but most of all, I loved how comfortable they felt in the hair without the same tugging or pulling. From that, our Everyday Essentials collection was born.
I started with fabric and found something more.
As I continued experimenting, my eye for fabric became central to every design. I began searching for materials with the perfect drape, sheen, structure and finish, knowing that each fabric could create a completely different mood. Duchess satin inspired the more sculptural statement pieces, ideal for weddings, bridal parties and evening styling, while my love of printed fabrics led to limited mini collections featuring scrunchies, bows and twillies. Every piece is carefully handmade, with close attention paid to proportion, volume, stitching and the way it sits in the hair. Mi Boutique is still evolving, with many more collections and ideas yet to come.
